Diego is the Director of Artificial Intelligence at Mapfre Spain. Previously, he also worked at the Center of Excellence in Financial Analytics at BBVA and collaborated in the creation of the Data Science area of LaLiga (Spanish Professional Football League).
He combines his professional experience with his academic activities. He holds a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from the Complutense University of Madrid and is a lecturer in the field of Data Science.
His passion lies in researching and applying mathematical models to socioeconomic analysis, health analytics, evolutionary computation, and the interpretability and explainability of Machine Learning models.
