This time, we had the pleasure of getting to know Isabel Fernández, Rector of Universidad Alfonso X el Sabio and a member of the Executive Committee of the UAX Group.
Isabel is an engineer and holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Oviedo, where she began her professional career as a researcher and associate professor. At that time, her research focused on artificial intelligence based on machine learning for building models of highly complex systems and understanding consumer behavior through the footprint of their interactions.
She has worked for companies such as Altran, Neometrics, ING Direct, American Express, and Accenture, where she led the Applied Intelligence area for Iberia and Israel. In the academic field, she has been a professor at various business schools, Director of the Polytechnic School at Universidad Europea de Madrid, General Director and Rector of Universidad Europea de Canarias, and Rector of Universidad Europea de Madrid.
